In this section specific Lasers will be discussed in detail. These may include, Helium neon, solid state lasers, carbon dioxide lasers, free electron lasers, chemical oxygen iodine laser, hydrogen / deuterium fluoride lasers, gas dynamic carbon dioxide lasers, semiconductor lasers. In addition to specific lasers, there would be detailed articles on technology of lasers especially relevant to developmental aspect. These technologies may include power supplies, excitation techniques, resonators characterization of laser beams etc. Indian experts in the area will be requested to share their knowledge and experience. This section is intended to help the scientists who wish to undertake the development of particular laser as a part of their profession. Experts would be requested to deal specific lasers in an exhaustive manner, with examples and thumb rules from personal experience along with the present status in India and elsewhere.
